How we calculate this

The formulas
- Staff hours saved = appointments × minutes per booking ÷ 60
- Labour saved = hours saved × staff cost per hour
- No-shows prevented = appointments × no-show rate × % prevented
- No-show revenue recovered = no-shows prevented × appointment value
- Monthly value = labour saved + revenue recovered
Our assumptions
- Booking, rescheduling and cancelling happen on the call against live calendar availability, so the staff time is genuinely removed rather than moved.
- The no-show reduction is the share of no-shows that automatic reminders and confirmations prevent. It is yours to set, since it varies widely by industry.
- A prevented no-show is valued at a full appointment, which assumes the slot would otherwise have gone unused.
- Counts your own team's time only. Booking work you already pay an answering service or call centre to do belongs in the call-centre figure instead, so the two can be added without counting that time twice.
- The labour figure is cash you stop spending and the no-show figure is top-line revenue, so the two are reported separately as well as combined.
