Missed-Call Recovery
Stop losing jobs
to unanswered calls
Up to 85% of callers who can't get through never call back. Lippy's missed-call recovery playbook answers the overflow and after-hours rings you'd otherwise miss, then recovers anything that still slips through so the lead stays yours.
For teams that bleed revenue every time the phone goes unanswered
Why missed-call recovery matters
Answerfirst.Recoverwhatslipsthrough.
answer before it's a miss
Most recovery starts too late. Lippy picks up overflow, lunch-rush, and after-hours calls in a natural voice so far fewer rings ever become missed calls in the first place.
of unanswered callers never retry
When a caller can't get through, most dial the next business. The recovery playbook is built to keep that from happening: answer live when you can, recover instantly when you can't.
decide who wins the job
Buyers go with whoever responds first. Lippy closes the gap between the unanswered ring and a booked outcome, instead of leaving a voicemail pile for later.
What the recovery playbook covers
Fromunansweredringtoconfirmedbooking
Overflow & after-hours answering
Lippy answers the calls your team can't get to, so the majority never hit voicemail. Booking and triage happen on the live call.
SMS recovery when a call still slips
For rings that go unanswered or to voicemail, Lippy triggers an instant recovery text with de-dupe and TCPA-aware sending. See the voicemail text-back use case for the SMS mechanism in detail.
Conversation that books the job
Whether the lead is on the phone or in a text thread, Lippy answers questions and books against live availability instead of promising a callback.
Warm transfer for hot or urgent calls
High-value or emergency conversations can hand off to your team with context, so recovery never traps a caller who needs a person.
Follow-up on no-answers
Polite follow-up across voice and text works the leads that didn't book on the first touch, so one busy hour doesn't cost the whole job.

How we calculate this
These are conservative, directional estimates, not a guarantee. Every step is shown so you can check the math against your own numbers.
The formulas
- Monthly calls = calls per day × business days per month
- Calls lost = monthly calls × % lost
- Lost new-customer calls = calls lost × % potential new customers
- Revenue recovered = lost new-customer calls × Lippy answer rate × conversion rate × average job value
- ROI = recovered revenue ÷ plan cost
Our assumptions
- Lippy answers ~100% of inbound calls, with no voicemail and no hold queue.
- Only the share you mark as potential new customers can become new revenue. Existing clients, reschedules and spam are still answered but excluded from the figures.
- Only 35% of recovered calls are assumed to convert into a booked job, which is deliberately conservative.
- Revenue figures are top line, not profit. They do not subtract the cost of delivering the work, so compare them against your own margin.
- Plan cost is the representative Team plan at $450/mo billed monthly, not the discounted annual rate.
- Figures are directional estimates, not a guarantee, and vary by industry, staffing, and call mix.
Handing Lippy more than this one job? Stack several use cases into one estimate next to the plans, since a single plan covers all of them.
